Any tips for self-promotion on Twitter?
Can you recommend useful hashtags for indie authors?
Tweat about you ebook as many times as possible but not in a single day. Equally encourage others to re-tweat your message simple by doing that for other on twitter. This idea is working for the sales of my titles
I suggest to tweet when the internet rechs the top of the traffic: generally among 11a.m. - 2p.m. AND 6p.m. - 8p.m. such as Google analitics says. Moreover some retweets on old twets helps as well
Retweets by others, as Eldersmart suggested, are very good. The more retweets by different people, the bigger your reach.
A tip though: don't just go for "Buy my book Title at Amazon there and there!". Market yourself. Make yourself a brand, don't just focus on your book(s). Twitter is a social medium, present yourself as a social creature. Post good lines from your work, share little bits about yourself that the world is allowed to know.
Vivi_Anne: good observation. Just make sure you figure out the proper time zone for those times, to reach the area of the world you aim for.
PaulKater: yes! I forgot to say that! But it ist very important!
I like the idea of posting good lines from my book. Just did my opening line. As far as followers go, I have about 300 that I've collected over the years, not specifically as an author but just as me - ravensviewca No plans - so far - on creating an ID of me as a writer.
ravensview: As long as you indicate that a line is from your book, you should be fine.
Good hashtags for that are #writing and #amwriting
Paul - had a link to my book itself, but will add hashtags too - thx
